Practical Tool Kit Towards Success

Starting something new is a mix of excitement and anxiousness. Basing it on my own experiences, the beginning doesn’t come easy at all. With loads of adjustments and decisions of sacrifice and trade that needs done, most people gets too scared and ends up giving up before even completing the “beginner’s phase’. It’s sad, but that’s reality for us. Those who thrive to make it through the tough start are usually the ones who really succeed.

Start of My Freelancer Journey: Road to being a Virtual Assistant

I recently started a new journey in the world of freelancers, and mind you, it is anything but easy. You have to have the confidence, the competency, and the guts to start, and you’ll need it even more along the way. Many times I thought about giving up, but thanks to the support of people in my life, I just couldn’t.

Preparing to be a Freelance Virtual Assistant

I say in journeys like mine, you definitely need inspiration to survive, and all the things that you deem will be helpful in aiding you through your journey. The following are practical ways of getting one ready and prepared to launch into the world of freelancers:

1Taking a short VA coaching course online. It comes very handy with all the guide and good to-knows (If you’re interested, this is being offered by Filipino Virtual Assistance by Ms. Julmar Grace Locsin.)

2Connections. These are people you know who works in the same field, and are able and willing to introduce you to their world – the same world you are embarking on.

3Research. Do your own research about being a freelancer. You may find stories of freelancers on blogs and other posts online, helpful. Take note of things that you reckon will be of use to you in the future. Never hurts.

4 Decide. Decide that you will do it no matter what it takes. This will give you a firm foundation as you start. Starting with the right mindset always gives you a good kickoff.

These are just few things of the many that helped me. You can have your own version of “Tool Kit Towards Success” in the freelancer’s world. Besides, we all have our own ways of coping and surviving and succeeding.

I wish us all well in our journey towards being successful Virtual Assistants and Freelancers!
